WHAT IS AN OUTDOOR DOG PHOTO SESSION?

A dog photo session is basically a portrait session outdoors in nature, or any city environment. It can include single or multiple dogs with or without their humans.

Who is an outdoor dog session for?

If your clothes and your sofa covered with dog hair, the first thing you do in the morning, even before you brush your teeth, is to feed your dog, then it is for you.

You already know, your dog is a work of art. It is just simple logic that your dog’s beautiful portraits made outdoors when she was lit by the sun, or jumping into the air, or when you were hugging her, will be the most spectacular wall art on your walls.

Real examples of dog photo shoots made outdoors

Elvis was a young and energetic Austrian pincher dog. We made the shooting in two different locations. The first part of the photo shoot was on an open meadow. Elvis had the chance to run to play, and I got the chance to catch his energetic and vibrant character in those shots.

During the second part of the photo shoot, we chose the cool and calm forest environment. By that time, Elvis was already tired from running. So I used that time to create his portraits when he was resting in the shadow. Also, we used our chance to capture the moments he had with his parents.

Some tips for dog photo shoots in outdoors:

• Bring goodies or toys that motivates your dog
• If the shoot is in summer, choose an early or late hour to prevent your dog being in the sun during noon hours. I’ll choose around eight or nine in the morning for outdoor shoots.
• Bring a bottle of water. Probably after running and playing, your dog will be thirsty.
• You never know when your dog will get dirty on the field. A simple brush and a towel will be a good idea to bring us.
• If you have an extra harness, bring it with you. Just in case, you will need a back-up leash.
• This is an outdoor photo shoot, choose to close for you that will not be easily dirty. Light colours will not be ideal for this case.
• Choose your shoes wisely. If you want to wear it should dress, choose miss your photographer the ideal location accordingly. City big ground will not be a problem, but mountains, forests or similar nature places will be demanding on chic dresses.
